Regional Director - Heartland Region

Dr. Hunter Bailey

Hunter is a seasoned church planter and lead pastor. He has also served as a missionary with MTW Scotland and as an RUF Campus Minister at Emory University. Hunter planted Christ Community Church in Fayetteville, AR in 2013. In the past couple of years, Hunter increasingly sensed a call to serve the broader church in the development of vision and a new system of care, believing we need to create a more holistic approach for strategic planning and the soul-care of our planters, their families, and their congregations. Hunter is the EPC’s Regional Director over the Heartland Region presently consisting of two presbyteries.

Regional Director- South/SE

Rev. Richard Rieves

Richard has planted three churches over the last thirty years, the latest being Downtown Church EPC in Memphis, TN which he planted after accepting the call to do so from Second EPC of Memphis. He has coached over fifteen church planters, and worked with, if not led, the church planting team of every presbytery in which he has served. In short, Richard’s call to advance the kingdom of God through church planting has not wavered during his time as a minister of the gospel. Richard is passionately committed to seeing the unrivaled gospel of Jesus spread through the planting of kingdom minded, gospel driven, healthy, reproducing churches who are led by healthy, called, and equipped planters. Richard is the regional director of church planting for the EPC for the South/SE consisting of four presbyteries

Director of Latino Planting

Rev. Alfredo Forhans

Alfredo is a Cuban pastor who has dedicated twenty-seven years to pastoral ministry in Cuba, with a particular focus on leading church planting initiatives in the eastern region of his homeland for the last fifteen years. As one of the key figures in the gospel movement in Cuba, he possesses a strong calling for cultivating and multiplying leaders. Alfredo is deeply committed to the gospel and the establishment of new churches, firmly believing that recruiting, training, and multiplying the right leaders are essential for advancing the kingdom of God in this world.

Executive Administrator

Javian Shipley

Javian brings a wealth of experience to her role as Executive Administrator at EPC Church Planting with a diverse background spanning para-church ministries, corporate community engagement, nonprofit, and vocational ministry roles. Her extensive expertise has been instrumental in facilitating the expansion and advancement of organizations dedicated to making a Kingdom impact. Within the EPC Church Planting team, Javian excels as a cornerstone of administrative and operational support, ensuring cohesion and efficiency to drive the team's mission forward.
